Wireless charging is good in public spaces like airports where a public usb cable would get lots of wear, be damaged and stolen
Replaceable LPDDR would get the point across, but one thing I never realised about LPDDR to begin with is how it uses so little power. May be too late to emphasize that though
Thermal fuse will blow up upon the contact with hot soldering gun. How do you elude this?
Any info on MT/s and CAS Latency ?
Praying Apple uses this on the next Mac mini
Thanks Dell!
im glad i can solder and i have hall effect
When Lenovo releases a T-series or X1 with this, I'm buying a few for the office!
Sure hope this tech get mainstream…
Where can I buy a new hardrive for a MacBook air 2179?
My cat scratched mine, then the cracks began to appear all over the place. BAD KITTY!! iFixit's prices are overpriced. The screen alone costs almost as much as I paid for the perfect condition phone at Back Market!
Appreciate the video, but no speed test?!!
I'm curious why the temperatures are higher with wireless charging?
thank you! I had a fully charged MacBook Pro swollen battery and unfortunately, I forgot to uncharge it first. one probably dangerous thing I did in order to reduce the effect of any explosion was to cut the wire that connects these cells to each other by almost pulling and cutting them at the same time.
I thought this was vapor ware. Sweet.
_Should call it.._ *FUBAR* for *F*_ully_ *U*_pgradable_ *B*_loody_ *A*_wesome_ *R*_am!_ 😂
Amigo, sabes que tipo de pasta termica se utiliza en la placa base y bueno también en los sensores ya que veo que es diferente
The guy on amazon did it in 2 minutes
of course this bad boy is on a ThinkPad i should actually get one of those
I wish proper laptops were sold with macOS as I really don't like Windows or Linux. I like Apple's OS but hate their hardware choices.
It is like it is still vaporware, otherwise we would see it in your hands, as you turn it around, so we can see the pins and pads....
I fully prefer wireless because it protects the (frequently soldered to main motherboard, not daughterboard) USB port from wear. It WILL wear out in a number of years of daily charging, and then you're screwed, vs a bad battery that's always just a plug to replace once you're in the phone.
I hope europe will ban wireless charging... For the sake of climate change
The first time i heard about lpcamm was from samsung
This is fascinating, but there's one thing it does not address. The main reason I use wireless charging is to diminish the wear down on the USB port, and it's something several people around me worry about too. Granted, it might be a "problem of the past" with USB-C, but it is still a concern. I changed my past 2 phones due to a bad port, which lead to unstable charging (and even "fried" the internals of the oldest one!), so I went wireless to ensure I can use my device for far longer.
How do I get Siri to respond?
I really hope framework gets to use this twchnology as an option for its laptops. It would keep them as repairable, but make them sturdier and faster
More screws?
If Apple did this then you can be sure it's gonna be hardware locked.
we all can thank apple for how the electronic market is ruining the planet today
I rly like that the connector can be swapped out. This is cool tech. Now if there was a standard to make GPUs upgradable, I'll be super impressed
I put an apple battery in my phone, the battery health wasn’t showing and it said it was an unknown part… other than that, it worked well for 12hrs before rebooting on its own and the volume keys and silent mode was disabled. I put my old battery back in and it was fine… new battery back in and issue came back. So now I’m using touch assist to use my phone. Any quick fixes?
"These can be tightened and loosened in any order." Bro, the thing literally has numbers pointing at the screws and says TIGHTEN IN ORDER lmao
Good teacher! Brief and to the point. Also audibly clear.
This guy’s pronunciation of the letter T is on point
I've always thought it was a gimmick outside of it being a back up charging option should something happen to your charging port. But I've always argued that with the fact that it damages your battery long term, is slow, and most importantly of all......ISNT WIRELESS since the charging pad is 100% connected to a wire and your phone has to remain stationary on the pad. At least connected to a charger I can still pick up and use my phone while it continues to charge. On a wireless pad I can't pick up and use it without breaking the connection. It's always been a gimmick because of the name "wireless" which just isn't true.
The problem all along is companies design laptops with less than 16/32 GB of RAM. RAM is pretty cheap but this alone makes the laptops obsolete. Given the available technology and the advancements made in the past decade, the entire industry should approach and design the products differently to prevent waste. I do understand it's good business to produce weak products and have everyone change them every 1-2 years, but I really believe we could do better. Examples: For laptop markets: a decent display panel, 16 GB of ram and provide USB-C charging. For tv's markets: a decent display panel, enough ram for future app compatibility, use of current HDMI 2.1 standard, also USB-C charging. (been at the tv store, out of 50 - 60 TVs, only 30% of them I could consider decent, the rest of them had really bad panels with bad viewing angles waste of space, money and a lot of physical waste.) And so on, I really like the EU approach toward the adoption of type-C charging tho I see companies like Philips keeping their proprietary port and putting a type-c connector at the other end. I get it there are some royalties to be paid but why create such a mess when you can provide type-c to type-c cable.
First Framework then this, I love where the industry is going right now
I really love wireless charging for slow charge overnight - I even connected my charger to slow power adapter on purpose - to not allow it to fast charge. What i really like os that I don't have to plug in a cable, not only does it look nice, but also does not wear the USB-C port. So you just have to use it in a smart way.
why cant laptops and PC desktops alike simply USE GDDR memory instead? like the GDDR6 memory only use 1.1VOLTS! thats "low voltage" for you. and superb performance. and i heard that it is CHEAPER than normal DDR ram. so WHY then?
I love it
This video was so simple, I was able to easily follow it despite being maxed out drunk and high. Thanks for the help.
More expensive also ? You didn't mention that 😅
Learning to work on my old car, i am kinda intrigued to see there are torque specs on the 3 screws on the new ram module. 😂
I charge my phone with a wireless charger about 50% of the time. I do not charge it past 60% when it's on the wireless charger. I did that with my Note 9 and it lasted me for 5 years with dips in battery performance only after major software updates. I think a wireless charger is great to not wear down the charging port, which was an issue with my old phone until I partly stopped using the port, and to easily keep a lower battery level.
Watch the full-length teardown here: ua-cam.com/video/SlUHjgZuLGU/v-deo.html
Good video!
Now if it had replaceable SSDs it would be perfect, or at least an M.2 slot for expandability (Not asking for ram, since that would make them change the SOC architecture, and that might be too much to ask.)
sodimm isnt THAT bulky but I get it when it comes to laptops with limited space.
